Non-linear PPTs

Non-linear PowerPoints are great tools to use in the classroom.  Non-linear PowerPoints are designed to
engage the learner and are a great alternative to worksheets and boring study guides.  Students today love technology and this tool will be great to use anytime it can be incorporated into a lesson. I designed an
interactive quiz to go along with the lesson I taught to fifth grade students this semester.  The lesson and
quiz is on the Battle of Fort Sumter.

Description of the ‘relative advantage’ of any and all technology being used in this instructional activity: Technology aids in the learning process of this Non-linear PowerPoint on the Battle of Fort Sumter.  At the completion of the lesson the teacher will use this technology to review and evaluate what the students have learned.  The use of the PowerPoint is helpful because it is more stimulating than a pencil and paper quiz.  The students can visually see the questions and the whole class is able to interact during the PowerPoint. The teacher is also able to easily evaluate student knowledge and comprehension on the subject.
